A meeting place for gem and mineral enthusiasts, the workshop welcomes you to its premises in Dreuilhe. Here you can meet Gabriel Chauvet, geologist, gemmologist and lapidary, who cuts gemstones to extract their full magnificence.
Thanks to his expertise, he can also identify stones and minerals, and distinguish them from potential imitations. You'll discover a selection of gems from Ariège and around the world, as well as minerals and jewellery made in the workshop. And for the more inquisitive, there are introductory and advanced stone-cutting courses to help you discover the ancient and modern techniques of lapidary art.
