How do I get there?

Escape to the Cathar Pyrenees!

Between the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees, to the east of Ariège and on the border with Aude, the Cathar Pyrenees destination welcomes you at the foot of the mountains. The Cathar Pyrenees are easily accessible by car (1h from Toulouse or Carcasonne) or train. Choosing your trip

  1. Take the A66 freeway -l’Ariègeoise
    • Pamiers exit then continue on the N20
    • Exit 6 towards Mirepoix or continue on the N20 towards Foix: exit 12 towards Lavelanet to reach the Pays d’Olmes.
  2. Please take the N113 or A61 towards Carcassonne to reach the Pays d’Olmes (via Mirepoix and Lavelanet).

The Occitanie Region offers you the réseau liO, which combines regional trains as well as regular coach lines. With the offre Avantagio’, train tickets are available for €1 and prices for coach lines in the Ariège region are capped at €2!

From Foix and Pamiers, served by the TER Toulouse – La Tour de Carol train line, you’ll reach the Cathar Pyrenees via coach lines 450 or 451.
