Cathar viewpoint

Starting at the small Col de Morenci, a short path takes you to the foot of the castle.

This is undoubtedly the most beautiful of all views of the Cathar sanctuary! Take time to imagine…

You’re following the GR 7bis here. Expect to walk for forty minutes, unless you’re caught up in the splendor of the view, and take the time to stop regularly to let your eyes and mind take the measure of the landscape before you.

Flooded with light, open to the various rocky promontories of the Caroulet gorges and the Montségur pog, the view will leave you speechless.

You then pass through the hamlet of Mouréous to the crossroads with the sentier des tisserands before reaching the ruins of the Péchiquelle farm.

The return is by the same route unless your fancy takes you all the way to the château de Montségur.
