Founded in 1995, FILENTROPE is a not-for-profit association of general interest, which runs a cultural and artistic project called ‘MIMA’ based in Ariège.

Starting with a festival founded in 1988 in Mirepoix under the aegis of the town hall, the association encourages creative, inventive and diverse puppetry that is relevant to today's world and open to a wide range of disciplines. The association is involved in local initiatives on an inter-municipal, departmental and regional scale. It also works to develop artistic creation, particularly puppetry, at regional, national and international level.
