Au Mohair des Alpy

From our native Alps, we moved to the Ariege Pyrenees in a farm with Angora goats in January 2021. We are starting up the business of breeding and selling mohair with a small herd. Throughout the year, we strive to produce top-quality mohair that respects animal welfare and we attach great importance to respecting the environment in the way we run our herd.
Thanks to the wool, we continue to sell mohair products and welcome guests to our gîte.

Twice a year, after shearing, we take our goats' fleeces to the SICA Mohair for processing. SICA Mohair entrusts the processing of our fleeces to the best French and Italian craftsmen, who adhere to the highest standards of tradition and craftsmanship. They must comply with our precise, rigorous specifications, which respect European standards (Oeko-tex, CE Reach) in terms of dyes.

‘Le Mohair des Fermes de France’ is a registered trademark, guaranteeing the high quality of the clothing and fashion accessories we produce. It certifies the authenticity of controlled products, all of which come from our processing circuit, run by SICA Mohair: knitting yarns, silky, voluptuous knits, light, airy weaves, soft, warm, light blankets and plaids, scarves or stoles, hosiery, gloves and socks with inimitable comfort.
