Mamadou Cissé is an aeronautics mechanic in Toulouse. With his partner, he fell in love with Ariège and Mirepoix, which became their heartland a few years ago... His motto: eat well and choose good local produce. He has a particular fondness for Ariège products, of which there are so many. He calls them “Products from here... and around here!" Aspiring to a less stressful, more serene life, Mamadou decided to open a local grocery store offering only Ariège products, to showcase the department's artisans. A real showcase for Ariège know-how: you'll find alcohol (to be consumed in moderation), water, fruit juices, sodas, lemonade, honey, sweet and savoury cookies for aperitifs, jam, ready-made meals, dried meat, infusions, soap, balms, tea towels, napkins, bibs, tote bags sewn and embroidered by a local craftswoman... It's a great way for local artisans to raise their profile. Custom-made gift baskets can be put together for any occasion, or you can choose from the wide selection of ready-to-give baskets on offer in the store. The store takes part in the Christmas celebrations for the town's senior citizens and local staff.
