Description
The Fête du Jeu will take place in the town hall park on Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with the theme: "Cultivating our differences".
A theme that will highlight the values of solidarity, fraternity and inclusion," says Franck Farez, deputy in charge of culture and heritage.
A festive, fun-filled day, free and open to all; a day that promises to be rich in emotions and discoveries. Ludotheques, the Cultural Centre, local associations, service providers and volunteers will be deploying their know-how and imagination to give us some memorable moments around games in all their forms.
This year will see the return of Acro'voile, a favorite of children and parents alike 3 years ago. Faithful to the spirit that has inspired it since its beginnings, the World Game Fest is based on strong principles: free admission, accessibility for all, diversity of games and openness to all spaces. It aims to recognize the essential role of play in children's development, while promoting intercultural and intergenerational encounters. An inclusive event adapted to people with disabilities; a more eco-responsible festival that raises awareness of waste sorting and the consumption of local products. On-site refreshments and catering with Secours Populaire. Funds raised by the association will be donated to the "Oubliés des vacances" charity.
Lavelanet's Fête du jeu is sure to be a great one...
