NOUGARO FAIT SON CINEMA focuses on Nougaro’s life since his debut in 1962, adding little-known elements validated by his family. 1h45 long, the show features 27 songs, including 2 medleys, an acoustic section and surprises that will move the audience. On stage, the 4 accomplices give it their all: a group that creates a real dynamic! On stage, accompanied by an exceptional team including guitarist Francky Gumbo and an experienced rhythm section, he captivates European audiences with his passionate tribute to Jerry Lee Lewis, one of the pioneers of rock’n’roll. The show’s repertoire, including iconic 50s tracks such as “Great Balls of Fire”, “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On” and “Breathless”, sets audiences ablaze as did Jerry Lee Lewis, aptly nicknamed “The Killer”! 🎶 SUNDAY, MARCH 31 AT 9:00 PM: ELEANORA, THE EARLY YEARS OF BILLIE HOLIDAY – NICOLLE ROCHELLE & HOT SUGAR BAND Eleanora, The Early Years of Billie Holiday is a vibrant tribute to the most radiant years of Billie Holiday’s life, as she emerged from a dark childhood to become an immense artist. Led by Nicolle Rochelle, a passionate specialist in this repertoire, the performance oscillates between respectful homage and personal interpretation. The Hot Sugar Band, made up of some of the finest musicians on the French swing and jazz scene, revisit the original arrangements and create new versions of Billie Holiday’s iconic songs. Nicolle Rochelle, also an American actress and dancer, known for her role as Josephine Baker in Paris, joins forces with the Hot Sugar Band to shed a sunny light on this crucial period in the legendary singer’s life.
