Description
Throughout the summer, Lavelanet Culture invites us to escape and come together in the evenings with “Été en scène.” Seven evenings to dream, share, and discover different cultural worlds…
Evening events will take place in the Town Hall park; they are free and open to everyone. This is part of the municipality’s commitment to enabling as many people as possible to escape the daily grind this summer through culture.
Thursday, July 16: Outdoor movie screening organized by the Lavelanet Children’s City Council. “Y a pas de réseau,” 9:30 p.m. – at dusk
Thursday, July 23, and Friday, July 24: *L’hôtel de rêve* by the Cirque Têtes en bois troupe. 8:30 p.m. A circus performance blending theater, tree climbing, and aerial acrobatics. Thursday, July 30: *El Fumista, Collector of Memories* by the Dondavel troupe. 9:00 p.m. A show featuring contemporary magic, circus arts, and object manipulation. El Fumista takes the audience on a poetic journey into the heart of memory: childhood experiences intertwine with defining moments in life.
Wednesday, August 5: *D’amour ou d’amitié* by the Vraiment Super theater company. 9:00 p.m. — A comedy show about Céline without Céline. Alice and Camille retrace the journey of the great Céline. It’s a story of great admiration, to be sure, but it’s also one of an unwavering (or nearly so) friendship between these two characters who are determined to match the greatest singer the world has ever known… Nothing less!
Wednesday, August 12: Outdoor movie screening organized by the Lavelanet Children’s City Council. “En fanfare,” 9:30 p.m. – at nightfall.
Thursday, August 20: “Nouba” by the Lakhdar Hanou Ensemble. 9:00 p.m. Concert featuring Mediterranean and Middle Eastern music. Concert featuring Mediterranean and Middle Eastern music. (Vocals, cello, oud, flamenco guitar, percussion). Blending original compositions with influences from the Middle East, the Maghreb, and Andalusia, Nouba celebrates the richness of living traditions and their ability to reinvent themselves. Nouba, an Arabic word meaning “the turn,” refers to the moment when one enters into the music. Inherited from the Arab-Andalusian tradition, the nouba is today synonymous with celebration, sharing, and coming together.
