A day's outing around the Péreille gorges, accompanied by one or more donkeys.

An aerial loop, mostly shaded, offering a bird's-eye view of the Péreille gorges. Climb through the forest to the hamlet of Coulzonne, with panoramic views of the Pyrenees, Montségur and the surrounding area. Picnic near a cave and an orri (dry-stone hut), before reaching the Péreille cliffs where large birds of prey nest (9 km).day trip around the gorges de Péreille, accompanied by one or more donkeys.

How many donkeys?

For safety reasons, no more than one donkey per adult.

How many kilos of equipment will the donkey have to carry?

Do you plan to put children on the donkeys' backs?

The equipment

If you are camping, you will have much more equipment and food to carry than if you are staying in accommodation:
In a tent: 1 donkey for 2/3 people; 2 donkeys for 4/5; 3 donkeys for 6/7 people.
In accommodation: 1 donkey for 4/5 people; 2 donkeys for 6/8 people
(forecast without children on the donkey's back).
To ensure that your donkey enjoys walking and stays fit, your luggage should weigh no more than 30kg per donkey, to which should be added the weight of the pack-saddle and your donkey's maintenance kit, i.e. a total of around 40kg to be carried by the donkey.
